tag.

I would also be interested in hearing everyone's opinion on this institution - I'm seriously looking into it.

Good chat with the public interest folks today. Some awesome opportunities, and they seem very focused on finding something that suits your interests. One or two programs really seemed perfect for me. The more I look into it, the more I love this school.

Some other LSDers used the NALP directory to contact alums and ask them about job prospects/ impressions, etc. I will probably have to put it off until next week, but am planning on doing this.

Did the Public Interest chat discuss salaries or career prospects at all? It's hard to break in to and/or survive....

Miami is one of my top choices, if I receive a large scholarship from them. Their beaches don't compensate for the huge tuition rate compared to UF/FSU in-state tuition.

Some. Mainly directed at "Holy poo! We aren't going to make anything when we graduate, and you are waaaaaay expensive." It was pretty boilerplate. "We are dedicated to making sure every student is OK...career services...local alums in public service...LRAP"

Amen to that. I would much rather be in Miami for clinics and other opportunities, but UF is so much cheaper. I am hoping for schollys as well.
