You're going to make a great dad.
My thoughts exactly.

I'll just note that the mom has plenty of "choice" at this step of the game, but the father has none.

Also, the mother here apparently decieved the father in an attempt to get the kid.

You can't really expect anyone to be a good parent when they don't want the kid in the first place.  That's why we have abortion and adoption options, at least for women.

TITCR.

So much flamboyant opposition from women to men having any sort of rights whatsoever to deal with children who are very possibly not even theirs.

What makes this guy so irresponsible for wanting a DNA test when the woman who intends to screw him out of hundreds of thousands of dollars was f-ing around with several different guys?

It's one thing to hold the father responsible - it's a totally different ballgame to screw over the first random schmuck who happens to be somewhat successful, and able to pay for a kid that's not even his.

There was some case recently where a man was forced to pay child support even though DNA tests proved the kid wasn't his: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/07/11/paternity.cases/index.html

Of course, this was a paperwork filing technicality... still a bit scary.

OP: Condoms are your friend, 97% of the time, when used properly.

Final point:  Stop assuming jag isn't competitive.

Jag is competitive.  But I will get there.  Then I'll post about how I did it.
