ok, so faggot is an offensive word, fair enough.  Do I condone the widespread use of the word "faggot"? no.  But I hope you become equally outraged when the President is called a nazi, terrorist, or murderer?  Just because the gay rights movement is en vogue for young college students doesnt mean that other young college student causes dont engage in the same hateful tactics.

Who are you calling young? Or a college student for that matter? 

People who call Bush a Nazi terrorist murderer are overblowing things for sure, but it's completely different because it's a comment on the value of one individual - the status of Nazis, terrorists and murderers are settled matters. What's offensive about Coulter calling Edwards gay is the implication that both Edwards and homosexuals are bad or of less value. They are completely different matters.

Not a good comment - but probably not as blatant and vulgar as this - and also considering this was endorsed by all these big shot republicans...even if shes put up there just to huff and puff I would guess the media would jump all over her for the way she said that.

I think you need to try a little harder to tease out the differences between calling someone a murderer vs. a faggot and the lunch table at the student union vs. a major political conference.
