When you folks are withdrawing through email, where are you sending the mail and what information are you including? I've lost all my little intent cards.

They have to be - they're the only redeeming quality of Tucson.

I just reply to either the person who is sending me lots of e-mails or if no one is, then I go to the web site and find one of the assistant deans of admissions.

I got that same email too. I guess W&L thinks higher of me than other schools do, because so I've only been admitted to two schools so far and only W&L offered me a scholarship. I seem to be getting deferred/waitlisted everywhere else. I'll consider withdrawing if more of my applications show signs of life, but until then, I'm hanging onto that spot for dear life.

I sent an email withdrawing from USD about a month ago and immediately got an automated reply about how busy the office is and to allow 3 days for a response. Then... crickets. I haven't heard anything from them since. No more acceptance information, no acknowledgement of my withdrawal... nada.

Thoughts?

I am suggesting to my daughter - the applicant - that she not withdraw from schools while her applications for finacial aid are pending.  A school a bit down the list that came up with an offer for good aid might well be seriously considered.  Make sense to you?

I got that email too, problem is that the vast majority of my apps are still pending. I most likely don't want to go to W&L, but its the best acceptance I have so far, so I can't trash it just yet. If my other schools would hurry up I could free up a seat.
