First round of UMich waitlists went out today by e-mail.  I'm going to stay on.  3.9/166

Remember, there is a YP element to waitlisting. There is also a class-management element that many people hve predicted will be a big factor this year due to decreased applicant volume (and possibly decreased average numbers).

If Jolie's right, UM moves through the waitlist pretty quickly. And there's not a better Admissions staff in America. If anybody is worth bearing with, I think it's Michigan.

Don't give up on UVA yet! I just got the UMich waitlist email, but am in at UVA (4.0/167). I have a friend that got in a few days ago with a 166, so hopefully you will hear good news 

As for Michigan, I probably won't stay on the waitlist.

Looks like I won't be taking my spot on the waitlist.  I like Chicago better, and I doubt I'll get the kind of scholarship money I'd need to sway me to Michigan after being waitlisted.  Good luck, kids.
