No, I got waitlisted last year and it was hell. After taking myself off the waitlist, signing a lease to an apartment in Philly and what-not, they called me up to see if I was still interested in a spot. It's pretty unorganized and hard to get off of. Good luck, though!

i'm never going to get in off the waitlist, but, you know, i'm gonna stay on as long as i can.

Good luck to the WL'ed people.  I was on the non-resident WL (1st quartile) at Boalt last year and got off in mid-to-late June, so Boalt does use its WL.

Question to fellow Boalt WL people:

On the letter we got, it says something like "The waiting list will be ranked by May 11. There is nothing you can do to affect your ranking on the list."

So does this mean we shouldn't try sending LOCI's and extra LOR right now? Is there really nothing we can do?
