Yup, LSDAS has now broken a record 3.67------>3.06
« on: September 11, 2004, 05:23:52 PM »
Now if only I had those numbers.  My report came back with a 2.06 Degree GPA, and
a cum. 2.16.  My school GPA was 2.67 my school does average grades that are retaken.  (F's U's etc.)  I don't care, not much difference to an adcomm anyway, 2.67 or 2.06, it doesn't really matter when you start that low.

I read somebody had set up a spreadsheet to look to see what LSDAS actually did to my transcripts?  Can somebody send that template if you still have it?  I really have to go read the whole process, and I will, but it's time consuming.  I'm pretty sure they are correct, not much I can do except brag about the fact that *I* officially own the lowest GPA of anyone applying to ABA schools.  ;D

Yeah, I was trying to point out what would someone do with a 3.67 adjusted to a 3.06 because that is the numbers people are used to.  You know, an eye opener to get people to read.  Plus, take my 2.67, and make it a 2.06 just adds icing to the cake  ;)  Plus nobody would have believed "2.67-2.06 if I put in the topic  ;D  But it's the pathetic truth.

ahhhh ... i see.  well anyways, that sucks.  My GPA went from a 4.00 -> 3.7 ... but I can't really complain.  I mean, I DID get the marks that are pulling it down.

3.95 to a 3.84 here.  I blame the idiotic grading system at my undergraduate institution, where plusses and minuses are reported on the transcript but not factored into the GPA (e.g. A-=4.0, B+=3.0, etc).  Needless to say I got a ton of A minuses  >:(

i don't know if mine went down or not.

swifty, let me tell you something.  that f-ing sucks man.  i mean, really.  my question is this: why can't schools get their *&^% together in order to have some sort of a uniform grading scale?  i guess lsac makes the scale uniform by using a set criteria, but the emotional letdown is just a killer.

i feel for you, bro.

Uniform grading system?  When I went to Purdue they were on a 6.0 scale - talk about confusing the hell out of everyone.  Makes my 4.4 just kick the *&^% out of all of you.

Swifty - wouldn't worry about the ugpa.  It happened so long ago I can't imagine the adcomm will put that much weight behind it.  I still think your WE as an 'small business owner' will far exceed some noob coming fresh out of school happy with their 4.0 in Poly Sci and the fact that daddy is going to foot the bill for LS cause they can't find a real f-ing job.  If 10+ years running your own business doesn't add diversity I don't know what will.
