no scholarship at UT.

24k/yr at SMU, no grade requirements.

Is this even worth considering.

I am thinking no.

I'm thinking no as well.

$24K at SMU still leaves you with $7K tuition to pay. UT is $17/year, which gives you a total savings of $30k at the end of law school. How can you pass up the chance to go to UT for $30K??

On the other hand, if you decide on SMU, there is one more spot for the rest of us at UT ;D

the no grade requirement is interesting.

can anyone link me to any threads talking about negotiating with UT for scholarship money?

I have heard that they are known for doing this, but it must be  a "simlarly-ranked" school

how low in the rankings does that extend?

start shopping for orange

...and if you decide not to go to UT,
your new orange wardrobe will match the other loonies at the psych ward where you should probably be checking yourself into.

I say this as an SMU 1L and a Sooner undergrad: Go to UT.

 :-[

And try and leverage that scholarship. $24k from SMU is a lot.

How do you know you're not getting money from UT for sure? Don't people still get offers in March?
