What kind of car do you drive?
« on: September 11, 2004, 12:11:03 PM »
This seems like such an obvious one, yet I don't know if we've had this thread before...
I'm a guy, and I dig cars (I don't know much about them though), so feel free to go into detail and share some specs about your car as well, maybe include some images?

I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima GLE, in white.  All factory, except for a small dent on the side courtesy of an illegal immigrant without a license.  I really dig the leather seats and the 200 watt Bose audio system.  The acceleration off the 190 hp 3.0 V6 is pretty solid too.  I don't dig the issues it's given me of late, racking up repair costs.  The car also doesn't feel very solid, like it could withstand some dinging and banging.  I've had the car since I was 16 though, so it will be kinda sad parting with it one day when I get my Buick.

2002 Corolla (late model, not new one).  Good gas mileage, a little pep.

2000 Volvo V40.  Dark Blue.  Turbo-charged 1.8L 4 cylinder.  It's the first automatic I've owned, and I'm not minding it as much as I thought I would.  I commute 1 hour each way to work, so the extremely supportive and adjustable leather seats are quite nice.  Footprint of a civic but with a lot more carrying capacity (I fit a dryer in it once) and a lot more get-up-and-go.  It appears to be burning a very little bit of oil, which I'm not too happy about, but not too concerned about either.

Gold 1999 Nissan Altima GXE, just passed 99,000 miles a couple days ago before my car accident. I got the car when I was 17, and I love every square inch of it. I love it so much, I change the oil and filters myself...dont trust anyone else to do it. ;D

2000 Toyota Camry, beige w/ sunroof. I have had 0 problems w/ it since I've got it. My next car will be a Toyota unless I can afford to have a Range Rover, so like I said my next car will be a Toyota.

I dont like leather interior, it always sticks to my skin. ;) And I dont really care about a sound system, I hardly listen to the radio or CDs. Good gas mileage is my top priority, I do everything I can to save gas! :)
