I feel like a more interesting question would be why one would choose Duke over Yale.  My thoughts on potential reasons0:
 * basketball
 * south
 * weather
 * hate ivy

Although only one of those applies to me.

true - yale has NO sports to speak of(!) ... i come from the south and only WISH for the atmosphere of a big football school
