Perhaps they are reffering to "Over Represented Majority".

UVA- 16.4% African American and hispanic. This means that if ALL the URMS are in the bottom 25%, which I doubt, there are 9% whites/asians in the bottom 25%.

You'll find similar things at other t14 schools.

UVA- 16.4% African American and hispanic. This means that if ALL the URMS are in the bottom 25%, which I doubt, there are 9% whites/asians in the bottom 25%.

You'll find similar things at other t14 schools.

How many of those excess 9% or so are legacies, children of prominent Virginia families, etc? I guess there's no PWB stat, privileged white boy.

Yes. You only hear about AA and URMs "stealing" spots in law school. AA serves a function, as does admitting legacies.

Who would want to go to Bob Jones U with 0% minorities anyway.

Don't forget the splitters... lots of the bottom 25% of LSAT or GPA is above median or 75% at the other.    It doesn't leave much room for anyone who is below the 25th in both.
