Quote from: dahova24 on February 17, 2007, 08:38:48 PMWell I have plenty of problems with the way this war has been conducted. A good majority of the reasons the insurgancy has sustained itself in my opinion, is that the way we fight in Iraq is geared towards appeasing those who no matter what, would critisize this president. I am not a die hard Bush guy, but there is a greater fight going on in Iraq. And that is against radical Islam. America would have had to confront this problem in some arena at some point even if 9/11 hadn't happened. Do you honestly think that if we had never invaded Iraq and just solved the Afghanistan problem that all these threats would have went away? They would'nt have. Going to war with Iraq was a noble endeavor. Regardless of why we went in, we liberated the county and brought freedom to those people. Now, the nation as a whole has NOT embraced the concept of freedom, there are many people in Iraq who still live in huts, no electricity. You can lead a horse to water but can't force it to drink it. In my opinion, Iran was a more severe threat to national security than Iraq. After the Gulf War, the Iraqi military was pretty much desimated as a standing army. The war with radical Islam will continue long after most of the "soon to be lawyers" on this site pay off their loans. I wouldn't say that lives have been wasted in Iraq, I think if we pack up and left today one could ask, "what the hell did we fight for?" We will never achieve a total victory in Iraq or any of these nations. They have essentially sucked at life since biblical times and who are we to think we can change that. I would also attribute the fact that there have been no attacks from any radical Islamist groups on American soil to the intel and combat ops being conducted in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as across the world. Fighting in Iraq ABSOLUTELY equals fighting for your freedom, if it doesn't I wish I could send you over there in full gear during 130 degree heat in July and tell me that I am doing it for big oil or W. You need to re-evaluate where your freedom is derived from, and where it has derived from since the revelotionary war. Because of the bravery of the few, the many enjoy freedom. Period. As they say, "If you can read, thank a teacher. If you can read in English, thank a Marine."The war in Iraq was not about radical islam in the beginning. When Saddam was in charge Iraq was one of the most secular states in the region. If the war is about radical islam now, its our fault, because we created the power vacuum that gave radical islamists the opportunity to march into Iraq and recruit there. Just wanted to clear that up.

People -- dahova is not George Bush. Don't unload everything on him. thx.
see if you can change his mind or have him show some flex. it's more challenging and more fun that way.
Go on with your bad self, you f-cking tool. Does hiding behind a tank and an automatic weapon make you feel tough? Did your balls increase in size when you entered the Corps? Is your d*ck bigger than a civilian's now? How does it feel to know that your country is being overrun by homos and illegals and ragheads and asians and brownskinned people and granola eating hippie electric car driving liberals? How does it feel to know that women don't stay in the kitchen and cook your food and do your laundry and lick your a$$hole and are taking your jobs and your sexual power? Does it make you want to go lift more weights, bash some more nerds, shoot an Arab? How does it feel to know that right now people are burning flags and pissing on your 2nd Amendment rights and taking GOD and JESUS out of the schools and throwing them in the dumpster? How does it feel that people are telling your president to go to Hell because he's among the most insane fundamentalist terrorist out there? How does it feel that you and those like you are finally in the minority? Are you scared now, or just pissed? Are you able to formulate any thoughts or emotions beside that arrogant, hubrisitic macho act you're putting on, or will the Corps let you think? How does it feel that while I'm typing this I'm stroking the crotch of my boyfriend, while he's playing with my a$$hole? How does it feel that we're thinking of you when we do it, in your camo, sitting on your tank (ooh, how phallic!), sweaty, muscle bound? How does it feel that you make me hard?I'll let you come slap me around, tough guy? You can drive your Hummer over here and I'll give you a hummer right back. How does it feel that over 75 percent of this country thinks that this war is ridiculous, that right now Congress is passing a bill opposing the "surge" (oh how sexual that term is)? How does it feel that the Cheney's and O'Reilly's and Wolfowitz's of this world are on their dying breath?I still bet you're too chicken-sh!t coward to look an Iraqi in the eye and to tell them that you still think that what you're doing is right.
