I'm assuming most people who were invited to apply probably got into schools like NYU, Columbia, Chicago, etc.  Would you take a lot of money at Georgetown over nothing at say Columbia?

Yes, I would.

I'm considering turning HLS/Columbia down for Northwestern... so this should add an interesting thing to consider to the already confusing process

it's weird that there's a 2/28 date AND a 3/1 date. No?
This sig kills fascists.

Saw dashrashi's LSN site. Since she seems to use profanity, one could say that HYP does not necessarily mean class or refinement.

Are people still using the 2/28 date from the initial email as the date they expect to hear? I was told when I applied I'd have an update by 2/28 and when I got that update to inform me I was a finalist, I was told no later than 3/1 for a decision.

Did the first email say 2/28? I didn't even remember that. That jolly well might explain it.

What was the subject of the attachment in your finalist e-mail?
In past years they have made decisions by phone according to LSN.
