The games/questions are definitely NOT real.  I've seen every game that the LSAC has released in the last 12 years and not a single game in the LSAT 180 book is one of them.

Kaplan's COURSE uses "real" LSAT questions (though they also use made-up ones).  This book has been helpful as far as the games, and marginal for Logical Reasoning.  I haven't tried the Reading Comprehension yet.

I took the LSAT in Feb, and one of the LR questions I had was straight out of the Kaplan 180 book.  So either LSAT thought Kaplan's question was good enough to copy, or Kaplan is using real LSAT questions.

Or else there's some sort of wild telepathy thing going on.

i just called the kaplan publishing department and the woman i spoke to told me that the questions were made up by kaplan but that they "closely simulate" the real ones.

Yeah, I agree. I worked through the online Crash Course and then tried some real questions - quite a bit of difference. It was enough to convince me that the crash course was a waste of money. But Id' heard better things about this book - how, if you're hovering between 170 and 175, it could be enough to push you up to 180.

I don't agree with that.  I flipped through the book at chapters (for 2 hours lol) and found nothing that would boost my score.  I already know lots of hard questions...getting them right is the tricky part.

I think you may have just noticed a question that had a very similar subject--the KAPLAN 180 book is notorious for emulating the questions, subject and all--but they're just not real ones.

Wow, I can't believe Kaplan lied to me!  :o  I called the customer service number too.  Of course, this was a while back though ...
