Fighting Irish Accepted Students Feb 23
« on: January 30, 2007, 08:58:20 PM »
Hey-

I was wondering if anyone was heading to South Bend for the accepted students events on Feb. 23.  I'll be staying at the hotel on campus that was recommended by the admissions office and I'm trying desperately to get tickets to ND v. Marquette on November 24th.

Anyone else going? It'd be fun to get to meet some people.

Also, I should note that they were really cool about the travel stipend.  I filled out the form honestly and briefly and they e-mailed me a couple hours later saying they'd reimburse up to $250.  All I need to do is send in receipts.

March 3 or March 2?  I called and got the schedule for their Friday activities and it was quite impressive, I'd do my best to be there.

How likely are you to actually attend ND?

I'm just thinking about it bc of the distance from home/family/friends, but the money they offered is tempting.  Can't decide if it's worth the trek.

I'm going to DUKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say ND is as likely as anywhere I've gotten in so far.  For me, ND is a fantastic school that places extremely well in one of my top choices for a post-law school job.  Coupled with everything else they offer, I feel like visiting for two days is absolutely the right call.  I also got a great deal on a flight so with the stipend it won't be prohibitively expensive.
