Hi I'm new to this forum.  I got into Emory last week.  Still haven't gotten any $ news on OPUS though.  When I called they told me that they would send it over OPUS around April 1st.

CARPOOL?  Anyone interested in Carpooling to the Emory Visiting Day Event on April 7th?  I'd be leaving April 6th and returning April 8th.  I'll be driving from Ann Arbor, MI but would be willing to drive out of the way to pick someone up.  Email frescogearatgmail.com if you are interested.

whoa. that's a helluva drive. i considered driving there, but decided not to because of the length. and i'm from DC!

EDIT: Actually, according to mapquest it's only about an hour extra to drive from ann arbor than from DC. That's pretty weird. I guess i just don't know my geography very well.

it should take 10 to 11 hours driving to go from dc to atlanta.  it is a straight-forward drive, take 95 South to Richmond, then take 85 south once you get pass Richmond.  I have done it a few times.

i'd have to rent a car, and i'd be going alone. I don't think i'm up for that much driving alone... much less in a rented car.

interesting, I would have imagined Ann Arbor to Atl would be at least 6-7 hours more. I'm going to be driving from DC. I was going to fly but I want to have my car there to drive around and check the place out.

Has anyone gotten their scholarship info in the mail or gotten OPUS to do anything useful? Just wondering...

I discovered that you can use your OPUS id and password to log into their webmail system.  I've tested it and it works just like it should.  I was even able to set up an email alias that better than the OPUS id, which stays as your email address if you don't change it.

I was not a fan of the Emory Law website myself.  Several links seemed to be outdated and the organization is not exactly user friendly.  It definitely needs some work.

I got the scholarship thing via email, but that said I would get the scholarship detail info via snail mail (it has only been a week though). 

I got the scholarship info eight days ago and I've yet to receive anything about it in the mail.  I live fairly close to Atlanta so they must be taking their time getting this stuff sent out.

And just when I thought I was done with acceptances this cycle, I got the call from BU today.  If they'd get closer to Emory's aid package, I'd be hard pressed to turn them down, but I doubt that will happen.

yay! you can add them to your facebook account even if you aren't going to go there!
