Seton Hall snail mail

In the mail today was a letter from Seton Hall, saying my application was under review and to read the enclosed info on Financial Aid at Seton Hall.

Did anyone else get this letter in the mail?  What was the outcome of your application?  I think it's odd they would be sending me info about Financial Aid without a decision, but I could be wrong. 

In fact, I probably am wrong.

Does it have a tri-fold pamphlet inside about finaid? I got something that sounds like that in early November, via snail mail, about 2 weeks after I submitted my app. I got admitted, but not not until just recently.

Yes, it's the tri-flod that looks vaguely like a small child folded and printed it, but the information inside seems helpful.  It's almost a month since I submitted apps.

Sounds like the same thing. I stalk this bored for anything on the Newark schools. The area, despite its flaws, has me really intrigued.

Same.  It's a good spot geographically, and the schools are well respected.

I was accepted a few weeks ago and didn't get that.

What do you mean by "all the schools?" You mean BOTH of them?

NJ has a grand total of 3 law schools, I thought? Or is there some secret, covert schools that I was unaware of?

Where does it say "all the schools"?  I wrote "and the schools" which would refer to SHU and RUT-N.

You are correct. Obviously this is why I didn't do so well on Reading Comprehension...

Also, I'm pretty tired today.

I retract my statement, but yeah, Rugers and Seton Hall are not bad choices, and they're close enough to NYC that they place better than a couple higher-ranked schools.

Oh, okay Captian.  I wasn't sure where you were refering to or if it was just a snary sort of day.

The location to NYC does help the two schools very much but it also (in my opinion) inflates the numbers of applications for the same reason so as far as admissions go, I'm not sure if it's harder or easier to get into the Newark Duo then it would be at a slightly higher ranked school in a less desierable are.  Another thought is that New Jersey pays lawyers very well (in general-however factor in cost of living), and you could always work in Jersey for a time and then switch into NYC when you had a better resume with real world experiance or just stay in Jersey. 

Personally, I wouldn't mind starting out in the Dirty Dirty.  I actually like Jersey, however NYC is NYC and all that jazz.
