So are you guys from the area or are you thinking of relocating from afar?

Not too far, Boston is about 7 hours from home, maybe 6 from school (upstate new york).  But I spent my first semester at Northeastern ... I was not a big fan of the school but I loved Boston.

I grew up in the Boston area and live in a neighboring New England state currently, so I'm darn close.

A bit more north than Upstate New York but still about a 6 hour drive away with crossing the border. To give you a clue of where exactly, we here have hatred for the Boston Bruins that's bred into us. Luckily both BC and BU have spectacular college hockey teams.

from the area. one of the downsides of BC is that my parents live about 5 minutes away from the law campus (just further up Centre. St).

I am in Cambridge/Somerville and one of the pluses (aside from being with my spouse) would be that we would stay in our current dog-friendly, 42" plasma tv apartment. not having to move is a big motivating factor...

also, my best friend from college is moving back to the area from the west coast in May.. so BC has pretty much all the "soft factors" going for it for me (except for the parent thing - i would like more buffer space)

Just took a tour and sat in on a criminal law class today. It was my first tour of any law school, so I'm not sure how to guage it. I liked it, though.

Do you remember which professor was teaching?

Hermann. Do you have him? I wouldn't have known he was a priest if the woman from admissions didn't refer to him as Father Hermann.
