UIUC's median LSAT jumped from 163 to 166.  What will this do for the school, if anything?

TITCR.
Single biggest improvement in student credentials in 2006 (86th percentile to 95th percentile).
Leiter (love em or hate em) also placed UIUC first in '06 for lateral faculty acquisitions.

If this will get Illinois back in the top-25, lord only knows.

The median of 166 was incorporated in last year's rankings.

TITCR.  They already had a 166, so this won't really do anything for them.

Illinois and New York have more than their fair share of Tier 1 schools. It would be interesting to see which states had none...

Fifty schools in the Tier 1. Fifty states.

Fair share would be one per state. Obviously bigger states will have more, such as Illinois and New York. So which states are left making up those extra's by having none? An easy question to research, but far beyond my interest and effort to look into.
