Is it strange?
« on: January 15, 2007, 12:39:46 AM »
Is it strange that I haven't gotten a single decision yet? I applied at the end of November to most schools, which seems pretty early, yet haven't even heard back from any of my safeties (presumable acceptances) or miracle-type reaches (presumable rejections)... Most people who applied around the same time have at least a few decisions...

How do you explain this?

Is it strange that a leather jacket is cool, but a leather vest is not?

Wait... I think I missed the point of this thread.
I can't believe these obnoxious Michigan students, who use the board not to share information, but to socialize (as pathetic as that is)

I applied in late October and have only heard from Vandy.  It's not that weird. Especially since most schools clear out the ED apps before they begin to tackle RD.  Just know you will be closer to the front of line than people applying now.  And you should for sure hear something by the first week in Feb by the latest.

Is it strange that I applied to ED and EA in early November, got pushed into the regular pile and have only gotten a decision from one school?

No, it's not strange.  Most schools have told me 2 months from going complete, and it hasn't even been 2 months since you submitted your apps.

End of November does not strike me as early.  I see applying then as putting you in the crush of the bulk of applications.  I certainly could be wrong though.

I believe you meant to say "seemed pretty early."  Then you got to LSD/ LSN and saw that all the June takers were done by october break.  November is not early, it is normal.  I am sure you'll start to hear when the general (non-Autoadmit) letters start to come at the end of Jan/ begining of Feb.
