Northwestern or Cornell?

Assuming no money from either which would you pick?  I don't even know where to begin.

Ithaca is where fun goes to die. Chicago pwns. It'll cost more to live there though.

Despite Northwestern's bad California bar results (something like 70%), I'd pick Northwestern over Cornell because employment options and academics are pretty similar at both schools and I would just like Chicago better than Ithaca. NU would be more expensive as a result, but it's a cost I would willingly eat up.

I don't think there's a meaningful objective distinction as far as exit options. As in great at both. Visit and figure out where you'd be happy.

Incidentally, Northwestern has a very nice location in the city.

Cornell sounds more geared towards younger, out of college students while Northwestern more for older, working students.

I'd pick NU just because it's in Chicago instead of Ithaca.  Ithaca is the reason I didn't apply to Cornell fwiw.

I know nothing about COL in Ithaca, but I'm willing to bet its more expensive than Chicago.  Do people really not know how cheap it can be to live here?  This is not NY, LA, DC, or even Seattle....mmmmmcheap here in Chicago.  I'll miss it.
