I just received my LOR from my paralegal instuctor. He is also an attorney for the state of Virginia. I have been out of college almost ten years and recently completed a paralegal course. I plan on getting a recommendation from the partner for which I work and another associate. Do you guys think this letter is generic? I wanted to have a letter from someone who could attest to my academic ability in a legal learning environment and he is the only one who can do that.
Dear Admissions Committee:
It has recently been my pleaseure to have Ms.... as a student in the Paralegal Studies Program at George Mason University. I submit my recommendation with no reservations.
Ms.... brought to the class an obvious intelligence and excellent work ethic. Her class participation revealed a thorough reading of the relevant material. Additionally, her exam scores and writing assignments were consistently among the highest and best in the class.
Not only did Ms.... excel regarding the course work, she brought to the class a breadth of knowledge that revealed a well-rounded education and excellent knowledge of situations occurring in the world around her. Her insightful comments made the classroom experience more pleasant and informative for all involved as she allowed the lecture to incorporate current events into an otherwise sometimes dry discussion of the law.
Ms.... is a bright and hardworking student, attributes that will carry on into her endeavors in the legal field. Her writing skills will serve her well in research and professional writing. Her demeanor, professionalism, and entusiam would be a welcome addition to the legal profession.
If I may provide any additional information regarding Ms...., please do hesitate to contact me.
Any thoughts on this???
