Fair enough. I still don't hate him, but he is definitely a diva. I think I just admire the incredible finesse he has when he throws the ball.

However, I also hope he loses every game he plays this season, since I hate the Yankees.

Also, I actually DO hate Damon. We offered him a deal, he went to the Yankees, they offered him a deal. We offered to match it, he asked the Yankees for more. I guess it's all about the money to a certain extent, but we did try to keep him.

I hope Damon slumps the rest of the season.

I think the media reports on things that are newsworthy. Unfortunately, this is newsworthy because we make it so, our interest in the drama is what propels the story forward.

I think it's a pretty cruel kind of reporting though, I can't even imagine how horrible this must be for his wife.

I think it's crappy of the paper to do, but I'm glad it's A-Rod. So I think it's wrong, but so long as it has to happen to someone, I'm glad it is him.

i really don't have much sympathy for sports figures.  they want to be treated like celebrities, and they don't mind the paparazzi when it generates buzz that helps them get multi-million dollar contracts.

if it's a sports figure that doesn't kiss up to reporters and paparazzi and wants to be left alone all the time, then i'd have more sympathy for him wanting to keep his personal life private
