What do you think of Cardozo?

Gerenal Impressions of Cardozo
I was reading other threads about Cardozo sometime get the sentiment that some people look down on it. I know its a relatively new school, i think established in the 70's or so, but it seems to be a hot school climbing up the ranks, poised to be tier 1. Right now I dont think my numbers are competitive enough for some of other big name school in NYC. I was wondering if anybody would like to share their opions about Cardozo School of Law.

What are your stats if I may ask?

I have mixed feelings about Cardozo... I am interested mainly because they are ranked high for IP law. I have heard great things abour their IP program but not much about anything else (not hearing anything could be bad).

LSAT is 165, which is decent, but UGPA is kind of low, only 3.2 Then again, it is in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I will also have my masters in Biochem by the time i enroll. I too want to go for IP, heard great things about it, but like you said, not much elso outside IP.

i would have been relatively happy to go there, and even put in a deposit there. but then i got into fordham off the waitlist and that's where i am now. cardozo is a very good school, definitely moving up, but it'll never pass fordham, so it'll always be the fourth best school in new york city, which is why some people look down on it. but hey, fourth best in a metro area of 21 million people ain't too bad.
