I can't tell if you mean "what" or "why," so I'll answer both.

I said that I didn't group you in with the elitists in part because you were too weird.

No, jk.  I said it because I didn't have an easy way of explaining how you are different.  You have a unique combination of snobbery, self-deprecation, and openness about your anxieties.  Those ladies and gents are 100% elitist ass, 100% of the time.

Thanks.  I'm surprisingly nervous -- even more nervous than I was before my first law school exams.

I'm going to be up for a few more hours, and then wake up tomorrow at like 6 for it.

I think I'm more forgiving of this than I am of some of the other stuff.  He obviously can't choose someone from the faith community with which he identifies the most because more than half the country (including you, I think) see them as hateful bigots.  Warren is bad on lots of levels (and coming out for Prop 8 in the end was a real betrayal), but at least he preaches a social gospel.  There's worse out there.  Much worse.  (FWIW, I know lots of progressive Christians who swear by The Purpose-Driven Life.)
