On the other hand, at least with all of mp3 I'm only "stealing" from the artist through Russian copyright law, making it entirely legal.  Alterntively, they say they are paying, so  .

all of mp3 is pretty much like itunes.  just download the alltunes explorer after you charge up online and you'll be good to go.

I'm all about downloading everything and anything and then supporting the indie artists that you ripped off if you bother to keep their music for more than one or two listens by actually buying their albums.

I never download popular music, so that's no worry.

I may have to call Mu ('though I don't have his number) before our gathering if (social) times get tough. Last resort and all  

I am also unreliable when the commute is long. I absolutely never see my friends in Noe Valley. This is why I am cleverly insisting that the gathering take place within a ten-minute walk of my apartment.

I just buckled and gave itunes ten dollars of my money, because downloading one song at a time is too much work. I think I may regret it.
