thanks  :)
I've heard rutgers newark has a good reputation so i realy dont think a job is an issue.
i just wish the area was a bit safer but you cant have everything. i read somewhere they are trying to put up high end condos so we will see if those sell  :D
I'd probably live in Jersey City though. if not there then on-campus housing [which appears to be brand new, but i dont know if that gets you residency? :-\]

with respect to budget cuts CT has had a similar experience but def not as bad as NJ.
Uconn Law has dropped a few spots the past fews yrs mainly b/c of a few rapid dean changes but it should be on the re-bound.
and in sharp contrast to rutgers the campus is very safe. its sort of random location  but gorgeous.  i go to school about 2 miles from it so i'm quite familiar.

Good thread! Does anyone know if Toledo will be able to secure its Tier 2 spot in the coming year (I know they had slipped before). Or is there any way to predict this?

Best!

yea i got in there and it is ranked near the bottom of T2 but it seems like it will stay there because of its small class size meaning that their employment numbers will be substantially higher than most because they do have a small class each year and to have 80-85% employed at graduation is A LOT easier than schools with 2x or 2.5x the class size. i have no idea about the ohio market or anything - i just sent it b/c it was free and now somewhat considering it.

i have t2 all over my board and hoping to get in to a few more. gl all

There seems to be a lot of jumping around in the rankings in T2. Any predictions of who's going up and who's coming down???? (in t2 only)  There is so much posting on the ups, down, and inside info in t1 schools, I'd love to get more info on the t2.

Bump to keep the thread alive.

And you predicted it would die!    ;)

I'm glad to see the Tier 2 contingent is alive and well!

Anyone going to DePaul's Open House next weekend?

I predict this thread dies in less than a week because so few people on LSD will admit to appying to T2 schools.

And yet the T3/T4 thread is pretty popular.

Indeed. Yet there are surprisingly few *average joes* on the board.

Well if people like you keep posting, it will live on forever... :)  I thank you for your contribution to keep it alive.

Ps.  Anyone else think you are an "average joe" if you have the smarts, scores, and soft factors to get a Tier 2 acceptance?

Word.  Those getting into Tier 2s aren't "average joes."

Well I haven't heard anything yet, so maybe an appearance at the Open House will bolster my chances...  :)

Lets not forget Pitt....and yes cause i got in there. :)

Pitt is a great school in PA, with decent placement in PA. They are generous with scholarships (one is guaranteed 10 grand per year if you have a high score of 161 and a GPA of 3.4), and they have a gentle curve if I'm not mistaken.

Congrats on getting in there.
