I've heard rutgers newark has a good reputation so i realy dont think a job is an issue.
i just wish the area was a bit safer but you cant have everything. i read somewhere they are trying to put up high end condos so we will see if those sell
I'd probably live in Jersey City though. if not there then on-campus housing [which appears to be brand new, but i dont know if that gets you residency?

with respect to budget cuts CT has had a similar experience but def not as bad as NJ.
Uconn Law has dropped a few spots the past fews yrs mainly b/c of a few rapid dean changes but it should be on the re-bound.
and in sharp contrast to rutgers the campus is very safe. its sort of random location but gorgeous. i go to school about 2 miles from it so i'm quite familiar.
