I posted this in another thread, but it was smaller (somehow I missed this behemoth) -- after going complete in November, getting deferred, and not hearing anything forever, I got an acceptance letter on Friday.  So, there's still hope, acceptances still going out.

I'm out of state, 3.5/168, for whatever that's worth.  And I'm debating between Michigan and Texas, so if anybody wants to persuade in either direction, fire away.

govtlackey, i would choose UT.  but i have deep roots in texas and if i manage to get of michigan's waitlist i won't being seeing any $$$, so that would be an issue.  but if money isn't a problem and you don'thave any personal reasons to stay in texas, then i would say michigan, hands down...MUCH better campus, great national rep, etc.

honestly though, if the cost was the same it would be a tough decision for me. but i'mnot in at either, so i'mjust dreaming now....

Wow.  I got my later on Saturday.  Rejected.  Out of state, 3.5, 167.  Guess I should have scored one point higher.  D'oh.  No worries.  I can't seriously consider a school who can't at least make the Sweet 16 with the best freshman ever.

do yall really think being in-state makes that much a difference?  shane being rejected is scary...i would think hewould be target for UT.  boy howdy, i'm not an emotional person but if UT rejects me i may just break down. 

on a side note, i'm visiting bc, bu, william and mary, american, and GW next week.  maybe it'll help put things in perspective

Did anyone else an invitation from Dean Sager and the Texas Law Review for a separate welcome reception? It's scheduled for March 30, but in the evening (after the regular ASD events). I'm curious of what to expeect.
