Diversity Statement allowed?
« on: September 05, 2004, 02:11:43 PM »
Whattup gang, as Im going through my applications I realize that some do not allow a specific place for a diversity statement.  Applying as a minority, I was advised to do a seperate diversity statement for my law school applications.  However, Im starting to see that some schools dont specifically mention submitting a seperate diversity statement seperate from the P.S.  Whats the deal with this? Like can I just send it in anyways or what?  Thanks.

I'm in the same position.  I'm going to send it with all of my applications, regardless of whether they ask for it or not.

Some schools don't specifically say that they accept a diversity statement.  Some will word it as "if there is any additional information you wish to share, please do so..."  I think it's pretty safe to send it, anyway.
