Hey LSAT Jesus, have you told the schools you won't be going to that you won't be going to them? Make things easier on those of us who haven't heard yet!...please?

Well, I don't know for sure yet...I probably will by the end of this month, though. Which ones in particular are you thinking of?

W&M, Wake, and AU. BTW, I calculated my index wrong (was looking at the wrong line)...I'm the same as you, 3.2.

when I first came across LSN one boring post-LSAT day in June I was really freaked out by the people out there who are merciless about yelling at people to withdraw from certain places. It really put me off to the whole thing to see people getting so worked up about it.   So chillllll out!

Why would I withdraw from any of those three? They are all tier 1.

If you're in at W&M with money do you really care to string Wake and AU along?

Tongue in cheek is hard to get across in a forum post I guess.

I'm feeling a distinct lack of love from GW here...

Same here.  They don't even need to call me, a letter would be nice :)

Unless you want to do enviro law, why would you care since you're already in Gtown, Duke, and Michigan? From talking to lawyers, Big law firms view Gtown as a significant step above GW in hiring.

Yes, absolutely, because American doesn't give out scholarships until March, and I still may get money from Wake Forest, and Wake Forest is actually pretty cheap, too (as well as living expenses). I'm keeping all of my options open. That's why I applied.

Don't worry, it's not like I'm taking your seat.

Ah, I didn't know that about AU.

And also, "Big law firms" don't view "Gtown as a significant step above GW in hiring," in certain areas of specialty (such as IP and patent law), and they are about on par when it comes to hiring in the D.C. area. GWU also has had a better track record with Supreme Court and appellate clerks than Georgetown.

GW and Vermont are the best for enviro law. That may not be what rankings say but it's what lawyers say.

And your thoughts on hiring are not what the people I worked with in HR felt. Firms like Hogan and LathamWatkins and MoFo seemed to view GTown grads with much more respect. I believe Latham had pretty specific numbers of only being willing to interview top 20% students from GW but going down through the top 25% from Gtown (or something similar, it might have been 15 and 25).

I don't agree with people complaining for others to withdraw... if you earn an acceptance, you have the right to keep it until you've made a decision.
