I am really loving the developments in this thread -- especially the pairing of two of my favorite ladies for the forces of good!  This is the best thing that's happened in 2007, as far as I'm concerned.

Also, goalie, don't think I didn't notice that I am merely a sex object in your eyes, according to your (still) brilliant recap.  Perhaps another historian of the thread, in another era, might have viewed me differently -- as, say, a wit alongside Spaulding or a feminine hygiene product alongside JiggedyJared -- but your take on things was a chilling reminder that The Patriarchy penetrates the hearts and minds of even its most militant opponents, that we are all products of our age, and that the stories we tell are reflective of our histories as much as they are of any external "truth."
