Lexy, you just seem too cosmo to be in the midwest...I always imagine you as law student by day, Carrie Bradshaw/glamour girl by night (that's a compliment).

yeah, and i suck because i figured that out just now after writing my one op essay at two pages. do you think that's a big no even if it's the equivalent of two one-pagers?

as is, my ps is pretty short. so a 677-word ps and a 758-word extra essay. can it fly?

i definitely prefer not to be landlocked, but they've got those pretty lakes! i bet i could have some fun in ann arbor. on the other hand, nyc might eat me up, you never know.

Lexy,

follow the directions, don't go over the page if thats what they want.  There is no total count of how long your optional essays should be if your ps is shorter. Stick with the page, going against directions doesn't look good to adcomms (I bet)

and I think it would be to your advantage to reply to two of the topics instead of just one.  You shouldn't go two pages if you are only doing one essay, that would still conflict with their directions.

hmm. i do like this one though and can't see cutting it in half-- in a sense it answers two Qs rolled into one. thanks for the advice though. maybe i call them this week & inquire.
