question about page length
« on: December 26, 2006, 02:42:45 AM »
I thought I was finished with my PS, and I'd read that the best length is about 2 pages, and most of the schools I've applied to will gladly take a two-pager. But one of my target schools says "3-5 pages," and I wasn't anticipating this. Has anyone turned in a two-pager to a school that says they require 3-5? I really like my PS the way it is, and quite frankly I doubt I have that much more to write.

I am also wanting to know this.  However, margins  and font make a huge difference. Mine was almost 3 pages, so i put it in 11 point font, and made all the margins 1 inch, and it went down to 2. So maybe do the reverse?

Hey umass, what are you planning to do about it? If I decide to stretch it to three pages, I'll just add some extra things about my background and EC activities or whatever. I really don't want to, though.
