Acceptance/rejection timeline

Acceptance/rejection timeline

Hi,

I have applied to four "reach" schools in mid-December, but have heard nothing yet.  Are later decisions more likely to be rejections?

its probably good that you haven't heard from them, because that means you are still being considered.  If they knew they didn't want you they would have sent rejections right away.  At least they are still thinking aboput you

i agree with andywp8.  Doesn't mean you'll get in, but the fact that they are taking their time to really think twice about you is a lot more promising than those nasty auto-rejects that you get back in like 4 weeks.

I concur. I have a couple of those out too, and am slightly encouraged, both were from schools that I thought would reject me outright, like so many others did. Of course, it is important to have at least one acceptance (I do) in hand for security, but I wouldn't give up yet if I were you.

I heard back from the safety about one week after they sent app completion notice; the solid chances came a week later; 1 semi-reach has responded (positively) - still waiting on the other two.

Hey 1L2004,
When did you submit your applications?  Just trying to figure when I may hear from my schools.  Thanks! And congrats on that  semi-reach school.
