Is Middle-Eastern considered minority??

I was wondering are Middle-Easterns considered minority? I referring to Muslims and Chaldeans from Iraq? And how about Iran & Lebanon?

Generally, they would not fit into the legal definition of URM. However, you can make a case for diversity amd minority status in your personal statement.

Since my last name is Arabic, if I wrote my PS about something to do with justice/Middle-Easterners in the US post 9/11, they'd connect the dots and take care of me??
