I thought so. Now I just think they're distracted and a wee tiny bit self-absorbed on an institutional level, Sager's goals notwithstanding. Luckily, they're also cheap. And my torts prof is the bestest.

uh had an ip prof call me today,
and ut is completely igoring me.
i wish they'd just let me know, either way.

Which brings me to another note about UT - the 1L moot court competition.  It's not all laid-back like what I just read from MTG about Chicago.  Everybody in briefwriting has to write the brief and then decide whether to compete, and people who couldn't get into briefwriting can try, but it's a lot of work in the spring if you're doing that on top of 4 substantive classes (3 + an elective.)  There are well over 100 1Ls who submit briefs and 64 get chosen, so not everybody gets to compete.  It's not that big a deal, but I found it interesting.

???  That's not what I really wanted to hear.  I want to do corporate litigation, so moot court is on my list of things to do, and obviously I'd like to do the brief as part of class credit rather than on top of 4 courses.  Was there a lottery for getting into the brief writing course? Or is it first-come first-serve and you have to register at 8am on the day classes open?

Question bout 1L class sizes at UT- I know its 500 overall and they divide into smaller sections, but is that for every course? Or do you actually get 500 somethin people in one room?

I know for a fact they were still accepting people as of the last week in April.  A kid in my Master's program here at UT received his letter and I went with him last Friday (3 days ago) to drop off his deposit and show him around.
