Also a good plan. I think that if the two of us put our minds together, we could write the ultimate book on how to get into Yale... we could be the new Montauk!;)ZAPQuote from: TDPookie1 on September 10, 2004, 09:29:47 AMQuote from: The Count of Monte Carbo on September 10, 2004, 08:59:51 AMFor Yale's PS, I wrote about the void. The abyss. ZAPThis sounds like an excellent plan. I still like mine though: I will apply so late in the cycle that Yale will run out of rejection letters, so they'll have to accept me!

i think jean might be a woman
My understanding was that a lot of people submitted the PS for the optional essay and wrote something completely different for their 250w.
Whoa, there! I thought we were essentially supposed to cut our regular PS down to 250 words. You guys are writing totally separate essays? Why? The only other essay they'll accept has to be about your background (which most of us have already written for other schools' apps). I'm so pissed at Yale right now. They mention that "many students submit PS's for other schools..." And this is in regard to their background statement! What, do they want the optional essay to be longer than the main one? I'm dying here.
