What kind of a question is this?

I wondered about that, too. I mean, if death happened to me I would be very unlikely to respond to this post ...

It's a yes or no question but I'm hoping you'll elaborate.

is this an example of your mobid curiosity?

it troubles me that you can ask this question when you have not experienced it yourself.

That’s precisely why I can ask the question.  I wouldn’t call it a morbid curiosity though.

Growing up on a farm, we often had animals slaughtered on our property and had dogs taht were dying & had to be shot. It's made me the vegetarian that I am.

I've never lost anyone particulary close to me, but i lost both grandfathers within 9 months of each other. That was hard. A friend of a friend/occasional drinking buddy recently died from a drug overdose - no one had seen him for a few weeks, we had no idea he was doing heroin.

I'm willing to chat if you have specific questions.

Nothing specific.  I like listening to the perspective of others.  One can learn a lot from the experiences of others (even if they've experienced the same thing (it's all about perspective)).
