Yes, about softball:  Could UVA people tell me the answer to this question:  If I suck at softball, will I be a social outcast?

No. Besides, you'll get good if you're not.

I'm afraid there's no hope for me.  I'm incurably afraid of the ball.

I'm sure you could learn.

And UVA still loves us mpark, don't worry!

I will try if I go to UVA.  But I'm prepared not to succeed.

I understand...that's why I went into sports not involving balls in high school, like cheerleading. So what if getting hit by a ball is probably less painful than falling from 6 feet in the air? I thought it was safer!  :D

You were a cheerleader? No wonder you're so sweet about offering encouragement on here :-)

Since when does being a cheerleader not involve a lot of balls?

What's a status change e-mail?  Does UVA they automatically e-mail you when you go to decision made or do you somehow sign up for it?  And then how do you get the actual notification as to accepted or not?  If by snail mail, to home or school address? At home for holidays now and hate idea of waiting almost a month until back at school to see what has come in snail mail.

Well, they automatically emailed me when I went complete (that email, too, said there had been a "status change" to my application).  So I'm guessing the next time they email me with a "status change" it will be because I've gone "decision."
