I got an email from Duke today announcing their new accepted students' site and that they will reimburse $250 for airfare.

Yea, this was awesome. Makes me very glad I canceled that trip I had planned for last weekend...=)

Does anyone know if Michigan does?

Mich only reimbursses Darrows.  Otherwise, they give you a break on a sweet hotel (only $20 per night).

How ridiculous would it be to use travel reimbursement offers as leverage?  I got the Duke email - now I'd like to turn it into free tickets to G'town and Northwestern.  This may be a stretch.

Eh, it was worth a try. Good to know. Better buy my plane ticket before the price goes up.  :)

Northwestern reimburses you for up to $200 on plane tickets, but only if you're coming to an official Northwestern event (Diverse Students Day and/or Day at Northwestern Law). You have to apply and be approved for it, though.

ND has some stipends for up to $250, you fill out an online form and they approve or deny you.
