Seriously. I'm a Spanish major and I can only think of one English-speaking prof I can get to write a LOR. Do you think I could translate a LOR written in Spanish by my prof and then have her send it in? If I weren't so doomed, this would be actually kind of funny.
Teach them English as a second language. Then write about the experience and the resulting triumph over adversity in your personal statement.
