Why is Boalt's acceptance rate so low

Why is Boalt's acceptance rate so low

3rd lowest acceptance rate in the nation, but only the 13th highest lsat scores (based on 25-75 range) and maybe the 4th or 5th highest gpas.  Why so hard to gain acceptance to? Does it attract lower-quality applicants than other t14?

Yes, Boalt attracts many applicants, like myself, who would otherwise have no chance at any top schools, but who apply anyway because Boalt looks at soft factors other than other top schools, supposedly.  Also the fact that it's the top PUBLIC school in California has something to do with the low acceptance rate.  Many people who want to take advantage of the low tuition apply there, even though they might not have the numbers for Boalt.

If you're from California, you're going to apply there.

Ahem. Canada rocks. No matter how small its population is in comparison to the US.

Boalt's acceptance rate is so low because Boalt rocks. Its population is also much smaller than that of the US. Rocking + small population = low acceptance rate. There is your explanation  ;)
