11/30/06

MORE NEWS: got home from work. ACCEPTED to Thomas Jefferson in SAN DIEGO!!!! Holy sh-t!

I didnt think I had a chance, but I am in. Full time or parttime, my choice. Very Nice acceptance packet congratulating me and inviting me to have lunch with admission dean and do the campus tour. States they will be contacting me very often in the next couple of days and weeks to discuss financial aid.
Scholarship money???? Hopefully! So excited, no sleep tonite. Thank god, my hard work is paying off.

-What school would you guys choose? Hopefully, I will get some scholarship offers.

Congratulations!

It must be nice to have that kind of choice on your hands...better than no choice at all.

ULV is very new, TJ is newer but might be more established. I talked to Dean VandeVelte when TJ was brand new and it sounded like some good things were happening. It's nice to see he's still on the faculty.

I love living in San Diego. I will be so sad to leave. I would say that is worth a lot when making your decision. I just got back from Seattle after thanksgiving where it was cold and rainy, it has been such a pleasure to come back to the sunshine, where my husband can play soccer 4 evenings a week, we can go hiking on the weekends, I cna take the bus without shivering at the station.

Sorry didn't see you other option was La Verne- also warm and sunny :-)

Still I would choose San Diego over Ontario any day.

totally go for thomas jefferson...san diego >>>>>> ontario....ontario smells like cow manure and is suffocatingly hot since its inland, whereas san diego is really truly america's finest city...perfect weather, gorgeous people, great party scene...in a word, paradise.

I.D. badges are long overdue. Security in this office park is a joke. Last year, I came to work with my spud gun in a duffel bag. I sat at my desk all day with a rifle that shoots potatoes at sixty pounds per square inch. Can you imagine if I was deranged?
