Are you just typing or are you researching?  If research then double just type fee.
Do you like the person?
Is the topic interesting? Charge more for a paper on salmon otolith growth rates than you would for an examination of modern online pornography.

$25.00 for double-spaced, and $50.00 for single-spaced.  By the way, I do transcription work, and that is a completely fair and reasonable rate.

Agreed.  It's not going to take you more than an hour to type an 8 page paper.  These rates are good.
