international students and financial aid

hey
do international students get financial aid(merit based scholarships) if they have solid stats?
I sooo hope so. lawschool is way too expensive!!!

Yes, international students are usually considered for merit aid.  It's often the only aid a school will give international students.

we still have to apply for financial aid to be considered for the merit based scholarshp right?

Not at most schools, no.  It would be useful for you to carefully read the application section of all the schools you're applying to, though, just in case.

I'm in the process of researching this issue but haven't gotten very far.  So far, BC is the only school I know of that offers absolutely no aid (not even merit-based aid) to international students.

Also, BU has a separate fin. aid form for international students.  I don't think we need the FAFSA but that's the only form that most schools mention in their fin aid section.
