questions about applying to Columbia
« on: August 31, 2004, 04:29:40 PM »
Can someone please tell me if im missing something or adding something. Thank you.

If I apply to Columbia ED, then I have to send:

application ELECTRONICALLY
70 dollar fee (via mail?)
personal statement (ELECTRONICALLY ?)

2 Letter of recommendation  (should i give recommenders LSDAS form or columbias LOR    form because i see that they have a check list that the recommenders are supposed to fill out). How is this sent? To columbia or to LSAC?

Deans certification form + check list of qualities that deans fills out and sends via mail to columbia ?

addendum ELECTRONICALLY?
Early Descision contract
Should I send resume? if yes, electronically?
Is there anything else I need to send if im applying ED?
If im not applying ED then I have to send everything above, except ED contract. Is this the case?

Thank you very much.

Hmmm... sounds right.

If it says so on their website, you can't go wrong with what they have there.

As a general rule, I think if you send your application electronically, you should also send all attachments electronically.  The only exceptions would be non-LSDAS LORs, supplemental forms, and the application certification form.

regarding resume and LOR

Should I send resume to Columbia?

And if I give the LSAC LOR form to a professor, then he cant fill out the check list (about applicants qualities) that is part of Columbias LOR form? is this true? and therefore should I use columbia LOR form?

thank you.

Didn't you just ask this for another school?  Why can't you do your own damn research?   ???

Yes, not in that it has to be original info, but you have to know how to find it.  Sorry if this bursts a bubble for you!  ;)
