What does everyone think of the convention so far? Personally, I thought McCain's speech was one of the best I've heard in a long time. So, thoughts? predictions? reactions? I'm curious

You want an opinion to stir up the hornet's nest?  Try this one.

John Kerry isn't half the candidate for the left that Ralph Nader is.

Now there's an opinion I feel strongly about that I just KNOW Democrats will want to jump down my throat about.

As I recall, it's something about a stolen election, not letting it happen again, not wasting a vote.  What was the spiel again?

I actually find it funny that Democrats have so little confidence in their candidate that they are going around doing everything in their power to keep Nader off the ballot.   Let's give it up for the open-minded party dedicated to freedom of expression!

Biscuit,

I find it funny that often you and I are more willing to admit that what we're saying on here are OPINIONS.  I mean, at least we know we're spouting our own beliefs and not the God's honest truth, whereas many of the liberals seem to think their ideas are close to infallible, and that if you don't agree with them you're stupid.  Pretty surprising, considering the caricature pretty much works the other way.  I agree 100%.

I thought the Lt. Gov. of Maryland was fantastic last night... his last name is Turner I believe.  Anyway, his speech was brilliant, not only because of its content but because of his general delivery.  I don't know anything about how this man is doing in his capacity of Lt. Gov., but I definitely thought he did a wonderful job last night.

As far as the politics of it go, I'm not hearing anything I didn't already know.

I thought he was really good.  He was more effective than anyone in the Bush family, for sure.
