and I KNOW i am not the only one who's glad that there's no more "don't vote Obama" *&^% coming from bluewarrior..

now you know not to count on Mr. Bw going away any time soon right?  :D  I'm thinking we have some fresh new-old crackpot theories in store (but I've always believed there was some kind of method to his madness-  call me naive; like he was purposely being nuts to hone our own theories and beliefs toward Obama in a, albeit misguided, sort of reverse psychology)!

To respond to your question-  I'm just feeling a combo of an unrelenting sense of pride and disbelief.  I had to download a whole bunch of articles to make sure this was real.  I'm proud that I got a chance to work with the campaign.  I feel honored but undeserving of the chance to see this happen in my lifetime.

That's what I'm talking 'bout!

If you hadn't put in that paranthetical, I would have thought this post was for me! ;)

That loud clickity clackity sound you hear is Justice Stevens feverishly typing his resignation letter, effective January 21, 2009.

I thought Justice Ginsberg was in a retirement frame of mind too?

she is...i believe that her hubby is sickly.

I think you may be thinking of O'Connor, but I'm not sure.  The concerns about Ginsburg, AFAICT, seem to revolve mostly around her own health.  She is in her mid-seventies, frail, and a colon cancer survivor, and her clerks in recent years have reported that she's doing much worse than she lets on.  Either way, I am so happy for these (relative) champions that they may finally get the rest they deserve!
That's cool how you referenced a case.

Ah, the sweet smell of victory in the morning.

In contrast, the fear-mongering wing of the Republican party woke up this morning still drenched in the stench of “Obama is a muslim, extremist, socialist, communist, Marxist, unpatriotic  terrorist”.   The smell made only stronger when seen in the context of 8 years of support for torture, Guantanamo, kidnapping, domestic spying, betraying American spies, AG firings, and REAL terrorist activities levied against Iraqi civilians.  Everything that tears at the fabric of true American ideals.  Oh, almost forgot to mention the clusterf*ck that was Katrina.

I know it must suck to be on the wrong side of history for nearly every major decision this country has made: From civil rights, to Gay rights, to Torture, to apartheid, to stem-cell research, to the election of a truly transformational figure who happens to be half black.  Anyhow, there is still time to bathe that stench off, grab a shave, and take a long look in the mirror.

P.S. A few words for Elizabeth Dole and her ilk: Good luck and good riddance.

I keep alternately laughing (I guess it must be the future now, because the PRESIDENT IS BLACK, cf. Deep Impact, 24) and tearing up. This has been going on all day. First the Phillies, and now this.

DO NOT PINCH ME. I don't want to wake up.

Saw dashrashi's LSN site. Since she seems to use profanity, one could say that HYP does not necessarily mean class or refinement.
