I didn't get the impression that you needed to address all 5 criteria. As long as you hit a few of them you'll be fine.

I did add a sentence about my particular interest in Iowa.

I don't want to start an argument but from the wording on their application it seems like you're supposed to hit all five points. "Write a personal statement(limited to two or three pages that adresses the following quesitons" and then it lists five questions. I've actually put off applying there because I've been too lazy to write a Iowa specific personal statement. I'm thinking I have to answer all five questions anyway since it's a reach for me. Does anybody else think it's that important?

And sorry to hear about that Cooley ding, Jesus. They don't f**k around.

It seemed like the 5 criteria were pretty general things that most people cover in their PS anyway. I guess I looked at my PS and though to myself "well I don't hit them all explicitly, but in this paragraph I kind of hint at xxx point..."

I'm not going to sweat it. I think my PS is really good, and to answer all those questions directly I'd have to sacrifice some quality.
